Principal's Message

Dear Escalona Elementary School Community,

I am honored and privileged to join the team at Escalona Elementary School as Principal and introduce myself to the Escalona family. My name is Dr. Nnenna Okpara, and I am excited to contribute to the school's ongoing efforts to provide an exceptional learning environment where our students can reach their full potential and soar to new heights. I started my professional journey as an enthusiastic elementary school teacher. Since then, I have developed a wealth of experience across the full education spectrum, ranging from elementary, secondary to higher education. Coming back to the elementary level is like coming back home. I am eager to utilize my knowledge base to ensure that our students receive a solid foundation on which to build.

Together with the dedicated staff, teachers, and parents, I look forward to upholding Escalona Elementary's standing as a place of excellence where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially in an environment of high expectations. At Escalona Elementary, we emphasize high-performance standards, evidence-based instruction, student success, and positive parental engagement. We take pride in the school's accomplishments, evidenced by its strong Academic Performance Index (A.P.I.) ratings, and I am prepared to build on this past success. I am excited to be part of this amazing school community and work towards advancing our students' knowledge and growth.
