Mission Statement

At Escalona School we will take strong actions to positively influence a quality instructional program which promotes student success and focuses on improving student learning.  These actions include education that encourages creativity, independence, higher order thinking and a sense of responsibility as members of the school and neighborhood community.
 
We are involved as a team with students, parents and the community to foster an appreciation of each child's own uniqueness as a member of a diverse multi-cultural society.  There is an emphasis on respect for the environment.
 
To increase our effectiveness as teachers, administrators and staff, we share leadership, promote collaboration, continuously learn and apply new strategies, establish standards of professional performance and take risks to try new ideas.
